Chemotherapy is one of the mainstream’s gold standard cancer treatments, the other is radiation.
And that’s it. Despite all the medical advances that have been made in the past century, the mainstream has been unable to come up with a ‘cure’ for cancer… or, at the very least, a treatment protocol that does not cause the terrible damage to your body that chemotherapy and radiation can potentially inflict.
While there’s no denying that for many, chemotherapy has helped them get the upper hand over cancer… unfortunately, countless other patients never fully recover after receiving this form of treatment.
First, do no harm
I’m not just talking about the known side effects associated with chemo, like fatigue, chronic pain, mouth and throat sores, diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting, blood disorders and nervous system shutdown.
I’m also talking about a frightening secret most oncologists keep closely guarded: Chemotherapy can increase the risk of secondary cancers. And it often does.
In fact, a few years ago, Dr. Otis Brawley, chief medical officer of the American Cancer Society, described chemotherapy as: “A double-edged sword.”
He added: “There is a benefit from the drug and there is a harm from the drug.”
“Harm” barely even begins to describe it.
A few years ago, a friend of mine was fighting leukaemia. His oncologist suggested a new chemotherapy regimen. These are the very words the oncologist used: “There’s a 2 per cent chance it will cure you and a 20 per cent chance it will kill you.”
Dr. Brawley himself also made this clear in an interview a few months ago. At that time, he was even more blunt on this topic. He said: “It is ironic but true that many cancer chemotherapies are known to cause cancers… It is something that the physician must consider when recommending treatment.”
Secondary cancers set aside (and it’s a tough one to ignore), a recent study found that toxic doses of chemo not only wipe out your immune system while you’re receiving treatment, but they can leave your body wide open to other diseases PERMANENTLY.
According to the study, published in Breast Cancer Research, chemotherapy drastically lowers the white blood cell count of breast cancer patients – and as you know, if your levels fall, you’re much more likely to get sick. And that’s the last thing you need when you’re being treated for cancer.
Worst still, your healthy cells that produce antibodies to fight future diseases can become permanently damaged – particularly those that fight against the bacteria that causes pneumonia.
So, before jumping headfirst into chemotherapy, carefully weigh up your options, seek a second opinion, and discuss established alternatives with as many doctors and specialists you can.
If you do go down the chemotherapy or radiation path, it’s absolutely vital that you support your immune system long after the treatment is finished. Intravenous vitamin C could help you achieve this.
